The closest airport is Monterey Regional Airport (MRY), and it is the best airport to fly into if you do not want to rent a car. Renting a car shouldn't be necessary as you can order a taxi, hired car service, or use rideshare apps to get around the Monterey/Carmel area.

If you fly into San Jose (SJC), San Francisco (SFO), or Oakland (OAK), you will likely want to rent a car as these airports are over an hour drive from Monterey/Carmel. Though, you could still choose to use a taxi, hired car service, or use rideshare apps to get to Monterey/Carmel from these airports.

We recommend renting a car if you want to drive along the scenic 17 Mile Drive (see Activities tab for more details).

The following hotels are ones we recommend that are a 15 minute drive or less from both the ceremony and reception locations. Airbnb also has a lot of great options in Carmel and Monterey!
